Update May 2026
Welcome to my updated website- a complete revamp! So hopefully you will enjoy the fruits of my labours produced over the last year. I must admit I'm surprised to find that I have managed to produce 50 pieces! Having posted on Insta that there are 20, I am reliably informed that I am 30 out! Those of you who know me well know numbers are not my forte!
I am continuing to enjoy combining collage with painting and have moved further into abstraction. Recently I have produced a series of small framed pieces in a particular colour scheme which are all loose interpretations of the landscape theme.
It's been a busy time for me teaching wise, more tutoring at my usual venues plus an upcoming workshop session for The Twyford and Ruscombe Arts group.
I had a very successful couple of weekends participating in the Caversham Arts Trail and managed to raise £200 in aid of the Hope Leprosy Colony in Delhi. I also had a small exhibition at The Wargrave Dental Practice and will be the featured artist in the Reading Honesty Café during July.
Once again I will be taking part in the Wokingham Arts Trail on the 19th/20th September and have been invited to display my work in Crescent Road. In addition to this I will be exhibiting at the Reading Guild Summer Show at the London Road Campus.
So enjoy looking at the new images. If anything catches your eye and you would like to see it for real, let me know via the contact form.
In the meantime enjoy the sunshine!

About me
|
Creating artwork is a joy to me at the same time it is also incredibly stressful and scary. Making Art allows me to explore, experiment, play, take risks, and break new ground. It's also a way of escaping everyday life!
Nature has always been my passion and I continue to be fascinated by plants and landscapes. I try to depict the inner energy of my subject matter striving to capture movement, energy and atmosphere in my work. My aim is to convey my delight and appreciation of the subject matter, and communicate it to the viewer. Recently I have been exploring the North Devon coastline, as i continue to be fascinated by sea and coast, alongside my ongoing abiding passions for flowers and gardens. I now teach from home on Fridays running sessions for adult beginners and improvers. As well as trying out new media and processes and developing our skills we have a lot of fun along the way. See Art Classes for more detail. |
